PCL (Polycaprolactone) is a member of the biodegradable polyesters (others being PGA, PLLA). It is an aliphatic semi-crystalline polymer, with melting temperature ranging between 59 and 64 °C (i.e. above body temperature), glass transition temperature of −60 °C. PCL is non-toxic and tissue compatible, hence widely used in many FDA approved implants, resorbable sutures, drug delivery and also wide range of applications in tissue engineering research. PCL exhibits a longer degradation time (2–3 years) and is degraded by microorganisms or by hydrolysis of its aliphatic ester linkage under physiological conditions.

Apart from customized scaffolds, we offer standard scaffold sheets in various shapes and sizes which can be delivered in petri-dishes or cell culture plates (6 / 12 / 24 / 48 / 96 well). The most significant properties of these scaffolds are:

• Cytotoxic Organic solvents, such as chloroform or dichloromethane, are usually used for the fabrication of a PCL scaffold through conventional methods. This technology is a solvent-free manufacturing process.
• These scaffolds are made from R&D and medical grade materials that are suitable for in-vitro,in-vivo stidies and clinical application.

• Excellent thermoplasticity, biocompatibility and biodegradability
• Good mechanical properties with high flexibility and great elongation.
• High proportion of open-cell pores, in which windows connected pores to one another.
